Privacy notice
What this platform is, and is not
This platform does not encourage desertion. It does not help anyone evade military service. It documents conscientious objection before coercion occurs. It creates a record that can be used in legal proceedings, asylum claims, and international tribunals. It is a tool for accountability, not evasion.
What we collect
- Your signed statement, ID document, and any medical documents. These are virus-scanned, then encrypted to a key derived from your Retrieval Code. We cannot open them.
- Readable metadata: citizenship, residence, city, risk tier, file fingerprints (SHA-256), timestamps, and your public keys (which cannot decrypt anything).
- Tier 3 anonymous reports: only the structured answers on the form, with no names, ID numbers, addresses or documents.
- Only if someone holding the family package chooses to send a case to the International Criminal Court and/or the European Court of Human Rights through the platform, with consent: the declaration documents, the names and ID numbers they enter, the country and city, and the consent given, sealed separately for each court with that court’s evidence key, which is kept offline and never on our servers. Used only to submit the case to that court and to human-rights bodies, and for anonymous statistics. The optional application pack for the European Court of Human Rights is built and saved only on your own device.
- For a case sent to a court: each word of the declarant’s name, together with the date of birth, is also kept as a scrambled code made with a secret key, so that only that court can find the case by entering the full name and date of birth. The name cannot be read back from these codes; the trade-off is that someone holding both the database and the secret key could check whether a person they already know sent a case to a court.
- Contact form: if you write to us, your message, and your email address only if you give one, is emailed to the operator through our email provider so we can read and answer it. It is not stored on this platform.
What we never collect
No accounts, emails, passwords, stored IP addresses, request logs, tracking cookies or third-party analytics. Your Retrieval Code never leaves your device.
Cookies and storage on your device
- No cookies, trackers or third-party analytics are used on this site. Visits are counted only as anonymous daily totals: which pages were viewed, which site a visit came from, and whether a device is new or returning. Your IP address is never stored or linked to these counts, and nothing identifies you.
- Your language choice, whether you have seen the privacy notice, and the date your device was last counted as a visitor are kept in your browser (local storage) so the site works as you set it. They never leave your device.
- Drafts of your declaration are saved on your device only if you tick "Save a draft". You can delete them at any time.
- Payments and donations use ATLOS (atlos.io) on a separate payment page. When you open its payment window, the provider may set its own cookies and can see your connection and wallet address.
Why (legal basis)
Your consent, given at submission. For health data in medical documents, your explicit consent (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)).
Where it is stored
Within the European Economic Area, with encrypted backups. All stored files are additionally encrypted at rest.
How long
Evidence is kept permanently and append-only, because its value depends on it never changing. See the full draft terms for how erasure requests are handled.
Your rights
Because there are no accounts, requests must include your Submission ID and proof that you hold the Retrieval Code.
